Helsingborg climbed to the top of Swedish Allsvenskan with a 2-1 victory away to Hammarby this evening. Goals from Rene Makondele and Erik Sundin secured the three points, with Andreas Dahl replying for fourth-bottom Hammarby.
Orgryte, rooted to the foot of the table with just one win in 16 previous matches, were within sight of victory against Orebro but a late own goal meant they had to settle for a 2-2 draw.
Alvaro Dos Santos and Marcus Allback scored for Orgryte inside the first five minutes of the second half after an own goal after 15 minutes from David Leinar had gifted Orebro the lead. But with five minutes remaining Orgryte's Dennis Jonsson scored his team's second own goal of the day to thwart their victory hopes.
In the day's remaining games, Gefle IF beat Djurgarden 2-0 thanks to early goals from Jonas Lantto and Daniel Westlin, while Trelleborg were 1-0 winners at GAIS. Peter Abelsson netted in the 64th minute and GAIS had Mattias Lindstrom sent off in the closing minutes.
