Stuttgart will be without defender Khalid Boulahrouz for the first few weeks of the new Bundesliga season after he dislocated his shoulder on Saturday.

The Dutchman picked up the injury during Stuttgart's 1-0 win over Bayern Munich in a friendly match in Gelsenkirchen, and tests yesterday confirmed the dislocation.

The 27-year-old will not require an operation, according to club's medical team, but he still faces up to six weeks on the sidelines.

He will therefore miss Stuttgart's first Bundesliga fixture against Wolfsburg on 7 August, and is doubtful for their matches against Freiburg and Borussia Dortmund.
