Utrecht have signed goalkeeper Khalid Sinouh on a one-year deal.

The 34-year-old, who has had spells with Heerenveen, Waalwijk and AZ during his career, will serve as the club's reserve keeper behind Michel Vorm.

Technical director Foeke Booy said: "We wanted an experienced Dutch keeper.

"Someone who knows the role that we have in mind for him and who would be fit, plus a free agent. Khalid meets up to all those criteria.

"He can fulfil this role like no-one else can and he is highly motivated."
