North Queensland Fury have completed their squad for the upcoming A-League campaign by signing forward David Williams on a one-year loan deal from Danish club Brondby.

The 21-year-old represented Australia in a 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ qualifier against China PR in June last year, and has previously trained with Anderlecht, Liverpool and Queensland Roar during the 2005/06 season.

He scored 12 goals in five reserve outings after joining Brondby, and was promoted to the first team in December 2006.

"David is an exciting prospect for the Fury, he brings goalscoring ability and speed to the squad and of course, he's played for his country at under-age levels and for the Socceroos in a World Cup Qualifier against China last year," said Fury coach Ian Ferguson.

"David's got a great reputation even at his young age and being an Under-21 player hopefully he'll continue to develop as a player. It's great to have a young player of his talent in the squad.

"He's been playing in Denmark with Brondby since 2006. We heard the club had lent him out for a trial in South Africa and thought we'd make a play for him and it's paid off."
