Enyimba of Aba won their second Nigerian Cup when they defeated Sharks of Port Harcourt 1-0 in the final.
Defender Musa Mustapha rose above the Sharks defence to head home the only goal in the 35th minute from a free-kick after goalkeeper Henry Vincent fouled outside his box.
Enyimba's other Cup victory was in 2005.
Sharks created very few chances and extended their run without a major trophy since they were founded in 1972.
Their misery was compounded late in the final when defender Ifeanyi Esobe was sent off for his second booking.
Enyimba will now represent Nigeria in next year's CAF Confederation Cup.
