South Korea defender Lee Young-pyo has joined Saudi Arabia's Al Hilal on a one-year deal after leaving Borussia Dortmund. Former PSV Eindhoven and Tottenham Hotspur full-back Lee will leave South Korea on Tuesday to join Al Hilal's pre-season training camp in Austria.
The 32-year-old joined the German side last year and impressed in his first 15 games before being sidelined with a foot injury.
"Lee Young-pyo is now officially the fourth foreign player in the team and he will be our Asian player," said former Saudi Arabia international striker Sami Al Jaber, who is now Al Hilal's football director.
"We made a lot of progress in our new signings this season and Lee's deal is the third successful deal for us before the season."
The Asian Football Confederation have introduced a 3+1 rule, which allows clubs to field four foreign players, although one must be from the Asian continent.
