La Liga newcomers Xerez have named Jose Angel Ziganda as their new coach.

The 42-year-old has agreed a one-year deal with Los Azulinos and replaces Esteban Vigo, who recently left the club after leading them to their first-ever promotion into the top flight.

Ziganda, who will be presented by Xerez this morning, was sacked as coach of Osasuna last October following a dreadful start to the season which involved the Pamplona-based side failing to win any of their opening six league games.

Ziganda had been in charge at the Estadio Reyno de Navarra for two seasons, leading the team to the UEFA Cup semi-finals in 2007.
