Udinese president Giampaolo Pozzo has called an end to Juventus's protracted pursuit of Gaetano D'Agostino, and told the midfielder he will start pre-season training with the north-east club.
Juve have been chasing the Italy international for several weeks, but have failed to match Udinese's €17m valuation. And Pozzo now believes the saga has dragged on long enough.
"Juventus thought they would force the situation by taking advantage of the wish of the player (to join Juve)," said Pozzo. "I am more disappointed because of this, as they have deceived the player.
"But enough is enough. Our pre-season training begins and he (D'Agostino) will once again start thinking about Udinese.
"It will be difficult but it can be a challenge for him to show how much he is worth to those who really didn't want him."
The 27-year-old midfielder is under contract with Udinese until June 2014.
