Feyenoord have signed Côte d'Ivoire forward Sekou Cisse on a five-year contract, for an undisclosed fee from Roda JC.
The 24-year-old underwent a medical last night and will travel with his new team-mates to Limburg later today for a pre-season training camp.
Cisse has been the subject of a tug of war between Feyenoord and Twente this summer, with both clubs having claimed he would be on their books next season.
But the Rotterdam outfit have now confirmed the acquisition of the player, much to the delight of coach Mario Been.
"Cisse had several options. I am glad that in the end he chose to join us," he told Feyenoord's official website. "With Cisse we now have a player who can play in more than one position in the attack.
"He is fast, tall, powerful and two-footed and exactly the kind of player we were looking for. And he is still young, so he can become even better. With him we have what you can call a rough diamond."
Cisse added: "I am happy that it's done at last. It was always my big wish to play for a real top club. That dream has now come true."
