Noor Ali and Masrezwan Masturi both scored as Geyland United beat struggling Balestier Khalsa 2-0 at Bedok Stadium.

After back-to-back away defeats, Geyland returned home and opened the scoring through Ali after just five minutes.

Masturi doubled the lead on the stroke of half-time as Geyland leapfrogged Woodlands Wellington into seventh place, while Balestier remain rooted to the foot of the 12-team S-League.

Woodlands Wellington beat Gombak United 2-1 yesterday.
