Paris Saint-Germain announced they had reached an agreement in principle with Sochaux to sign Turkey striker Mevlut Erding.

Erding had been targeted by several Ligue 1 clubs since the end of last season, but it appears PSG have won the race with a statement from PSG confirming they had agreed a fee for the 22-year-old with the Montbeliard club.

PSG general director Philippe Boindrieux will meet Sochaux president Alexandre Lacombe on Monday to settle the remaining details.

The fee for Erding has not been released, but local reports suggested it was in the range of eight to ten million euros.
