Shandong Luneng took a slender lead at the top of the Chinese Super League after rescuing a 1-1 draw against Changsha Jinde.
The defending champions fell behind in the first half to Liu Jianye's 42nd-minute goal, but Wang Yongpo secured a point for the hosts 19 minutes from time.
The result, Shandong's sixth draw in 13 matches this season, leaves them one point clear of Beijing Guoan at the top of the league, with the capital club having played one fewer game.
Henan Jianye are two points behind Shandong in third place after picking up a close 1-0 victory over Qingdao Zhongneng away from home. The sides remained level until the 87th minute when Xiao Zhi struck the decisive goal.
Tianjin Taida are two points further back in fourth after their 3-0 win over Shenzhen. He Yang [25], Cao Yang [63] and Mao Biao [68] got the goals.
And finally Shaanxi Zhongxin moved up to eighth place with a 1-0 win over Chongqing Lifan, thanks to Yu Hai's 22nd-minute strike.
