Gombak United remain top of the S-League after strolling to 2-1 win over mid-table side Home United.

With both the top two teams in action today, Gombak needed to win to remain at least a point clear at the summit, and always looked likely to take all three points after goals from Kingsley Njoku [30] and Emmanuel Emuejeraye [41] had them two goals clear at the break.

The league leaders failed to add to their tally in the second half, but were rarely threatened until Kenge Ludovick halved the deficit in the final minute of the game.

They stay only a point clear of Singapore Armed Forces after an 89th-minute goal from Zaizar Zainal Abidin earned them a 2-1 win over Young Lions.

Aleksandar Duric gave the hosts the lead after 23 minutes and they stayed ahead until an own goal from Razaleigh Khalik pulled Young Lions level.

But Zainal Abidin grabbed the winner a minute from time to keep Singapore Armed Forces within touching distance of Gombak, having played one fewer game.
