Singapore international striker Noh Alam Shah scored a late equaliser to salvage a 1-1 draw for Tampines Rovers in their S-League encounter with Sengkang Punggol.

Sengkang stunned the visitors at Hougang Stadium when Hiroyuki Yamamoto fired them ahead after five minutes.

The Japanese midfielder's early strike put Sengkang on course for only their fifth win of the campaign, but Alam Shah levelled with three minutes remaining to earn his side a share of the spoils.

A victory would have moved Tampines to within three points of leaders Gombak United, but they remained fourth on 26 points, two adrift of third-placed DPMM.

Sengkang are 10th in the 12-team league with 15 points from as many matches.
