Newly-promoted Bari have today parted company with coach Antonio Conte.

Conte, who led Bari back into Italy's top flight last month, had recently signed a one-year contract extension with the Pugliese club, with his previous deal ending this summer.

"AS Bari and Mr. Antonio Conte have decided consensually today not to continue their working relationship," read a statement from the club.

The former Juventus and Italy international had been considered a candidate for the coaching job at La Vecchia Signora, before the Turin giants confirmed Ciro Ferrara would guide them next season.
