Bayern Munich have reached an agreement with Heerenveen to complete the transfer of Danijel Pranjic to the Bundesliga club.

Bayern had already agreed terms with the Croatia international, but the transfer seemed to be on the verge of collapsing as both teams were reportedly 'miles apart' with their respective valuations of the player. A compromise has now been reached, enabling Pranjic to sign a three-year contract with the Bavarians.

"Pranjic is a versatile player who was very high up on the wishlist of coach Louis van Gaal," said Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge on the club's website. The 27-year-old midfielder is Bayern's sixth new signing this summer and will join the other new faces Anatoliy Tymoschuk, Ivica Olic, Alexander Baumjohann, Mario Gomez and Edson Brafheid at the start of pre-season training next week.
