Everton have released Portuguese left-back Nuno Valente and Dutch winger Andy van der Meyde.
Portugal international Valente, who won the UEFA Champions League with Porto under Jose Mourinho in 2004, moved to Goodison Park in 2005. Valente was unable to command a regular first-team place last season.
The 34-year-old played 60 games in four seasons at Goodison Park and found himself behind Leighton Baines in the pecking order last term, while Joleon Lescott has also been preferred on the left of the defence.
Van der Meyde joined from Inter Milan four years ago, but struggled badly with injuries, as well as disciplinary and personal problems. He played just 24 games in four seasons.
Everton have also released youngsters John Irving, John Paul Kissock, Scott Spencer, Eunan O'Kane and Cory Sinnott, while 27-year-old Segundo Castillo has returned to Red Star Belgrade after his loan spell came to an end.
The Ecuador midfielder made 13 appearances for Everton and scored once during his stay with the club.
