Goalkeeper Albano Bizzarri has left Catania for Serie A rivals Lazio. The 31-year-old, who had an impressive season between the posts, revealed in April he would not be extending his contract with the club.

And Bizzarri has now put pen to paper on a deal at the Stadio Olimpico. "I am very happy with this new adventure," the Argentinian told Viva la Radio.

"I am going to play with Lazio, everything is signed. With regards to the presentation, the date has yet to be fixed. This last season was very important to me."

Meanwhile, Pasquale Foggia has extended his stay in the Italian capital until 2013. The Italy midfielder, who joined Lazio in 2006, confirmed he has renewed his contract today.

"I have extended my contract with Lazio until 2013," he told Sky Italia. "From a personal point of view I expect a great season because it's World Cup year. With regards to Lazio we have to improve on last season's placing. We can do better."

Lazio had high expectations going into the season but, although they won the Coppa Italia, they finished tenth in Serie A. They are currently without a coach after Delio Rossi announced his departure yesterday.
