Boulogne-sur-Mer have confirmed appointed Laurent Guyot as their new coach. The 39-year-old has signed a two-year deal with the Ligue 1 newcomers, with an option of a further 12 months.

He replaces Philippe Montanier, who left the northerners last week to take charge of Valenciennes. Serge Le Dizet, the former coach of Nantes, will be Guyot's number two.

The club have been promoted to France's top-flight for the first time in their history confirming their promotion with a historic 4-0 win over Amiens on the last day of the season. Boulogne has committed to greatly increasing its capacity to nearly 15,000 for their Ligue 1 debut.
