FA Cup runners-up Everton will visit Ghana as part of their pre-season schedule in July.

It will be the first time in the club's history they have played in Africa but their opponents have yet to be decided. In an interesting twist a public vote in Africa will choose either Ashanti Kotoko or Hearts of Oak to face the Toffees on 12 July.

However, Everton are already preparing to travel with an under-strength squad as manager David Moyes will be without the majority of his international players who will be on an extended summer break.

Everton completed a successful season by finishing fifth in the Premier League before suffering defeat in last Saturday's FA Cup final against Chelsea.
