Cock Jol is to follow his brother Martin from Hamburg to Ajax and will join the Amsterdam club's backroom staff.

Cock Jol will work on scouting and youth development for his younger brother, reporting primarily to technical director Danny Blind.

"I will take over some tasks from Blind, overseeing the youth program and scouting and reporting my findings to Blind," he told De Telegraaf.

The elder Jol added that he is not yet sure if he will be present on the sidelines on matchdays.

"It may be, but it is just as likely I sit in the stands with a phone," he said.

Martin Jol was formally introduced as Ajax boss yesterday after a deal was quickly wrapped up to bring him in from Hamburg as a replacement for Marco van Basten.
