Paul Le Guen will leave his post as coach of Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, the French club has announced.

PSG released a statement this afternoon saying they would not be renewing the former Rangers manager's contract, which runs out at the end of the season.

Le Guen's final game in charge of the capital club will be on 30 May, when Monaco visit the Parc des Princes in Ligue 1.

The club statement read: "Paris St Germain announce today the club's decision not to renew, after three years of collaboration, the contract of its coach Paul Le Guen, which comes to an end on June 30, 2009.

"The name of his successor will be made public in the next few weeks. Paul Le Guen will continue in his role until the end of his contract."
