A goal by Venezuelan midfielder Cesar Gonzalez gave Huracan a 1-0 victory over Tigre on 26 April and helped his side to third in the Clausura. Tigre were reduced to ten players in the second half by Juan Carlos Blengio's red card.

Huracan moved two points behind Colon and Lanus, who faced Velez and Godoy Cruz respectively on Sunday. Elsewhere, a header by defender Mariano Martinez in the fifth minute of the injury time allowed Racing Club to rescue a 1-1 draw a San Lorenzo and spoiled Diego Simeone's debut as coach.

After a goalless first half, former Real Madrid and Inter Milan midfielder Santiago Solari put San Lorenzo ahead. But Martinez headed in Oscar Lucero's corner kick to give Racing a valuable point their fight for avoid relegation.

In La Plata, Estudiantes defeated Newell's Old Boys 1-0 thanks to a Rodrigo Brana strike.
