Japan star Shunsuke Nakamura has said that he could still be a Celtic player next season, insisting he'd yet to make a decision on his future.
The midfield player had been widely expected to leave the Scottish champions after a four-year stay when his contract expires at the end of the season and return to his native Japan. It had been thought the 30-year-old wanted to leave Glasgow and return home for family reasons and to cut down on the time he has had to spend travelling to Asia for international fixtures.
However, he said he would not be making a definitive decision until the destiny of this season's Scottish Premier League title race had become known. He told Celtic TV: "It is a possibility to go back to Japan at the end of the season. But for now I only want to concentrate on winning the title - before I decide what I will do."
Nakamura has been repeatedly linked with a return to Japan's Yokohama Marinos, the club where he began his professional career.
