PSV name Lodeweges as caretaker boss
Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven have appointed their Canadian-born assistant manager Dwight Lodeweges as caretaker coach to fill the void left by Huub Stevens.
Stevens stepped down on Wednesday after a series of poor results had left the Dutch giants struggling in fifth place in the league, 15 points adrift of leaders AZ Alkmaar.
PSV's managing director Jan Reker, confirmed Lodeweges' temporary appointment on the club's website on Thursday.
"The idea is that he remains in place up to the time when we find a new manager," he said.
Among the names in the frame for the full time job are Ronald Koeman and Frank Rijkaard, and Russia manager Guus Hiddink.
