Qualifying history
St. Lucia has had a short FIFA World Cup™ qualifying history, first attempting to qualify for USA 1994 where they were eliminated in the first round. However, the small Caribbean nation has showed plenty of grit in their recent outings as they overcame a first-leg deficit to knock out Aruba on penalties in the preliminary round of CONCACAF qualifying for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. After that impressive feat, though, things fell apart and they finished dead last in their second-round group with only one point to show from their six games.

After beating Antigua and Barbuda 3-1 at home, Piotr Nowak's side pulled off a remarkable fight back in the second leg to win 4-1 and 5-4 on aggregate during the second round of CONCACAF World Cup qualification.
