Bermuda have never qualified for the FIFA World Cup™ finals, but the island nation – located smack in the middle of the North Atlantic – has been on the up in recent years. They were only just edged out in qualifying for South Africa 2010 by Trinidad & Tobago, powerhouses in the Caribbean region. Four years later, in the run-up to Brazil 2014, Bermuda managed to beat the Trinidadians before running aground in the first group stage. This time out, with a focus on a more modern brand of football and a revived squad, the Bermudans began their Russia 2018 account with an 8-0 rout of Bahamas.
Qualification came to an end for Bermuda after a tight 1-0 aggregate defeat at the hands of Guatemala in the second round.
