Qualification history
The Turks and Caicos Islands occupy the very lower reaches of the FIFA/Coca-Cola World Ranking and have never made a significant impact on the qualifying stages of the World Cup, usually tumbling out of the CONCACAF scene in the early rounds. This time out, in qualifying for Russia 2018, was no different. The islanders lost both of their opening round legs 6-2 against neighbours St. Kitts and Nevis, despite the presence of a full professional in striker Billy Forbes who plies his trade in the USA’s North American Soccer League (NASL) with San Antonio Scorpions. A 12-4 aggregate defeat means there is work to do on the defensive end for Turks and Caicos.
