Dancers and singers from the Lion King perform before the
beginning of the FIFA 2010 football World Cup qualifying draws
ceremony 25 November 2007 in Durban. Pele and Jimmy Greaves are
among the players who will soon be receiving unexpected World Cup
winners medals after FIFA decided to retrospectively honour players
who were part of victorious squads but did not play in the final.
The decision, announced by FIFA president Sepp Blatter on Sunday,
will affect 122 former players who were in squads that triumphed at
tournaments between the first World Cup in 1930 and the 1974 finals
in West Germany.
