Taylor: All four have a chance

Peter Taylor, Bahrain coach
The draw has put us in a balanced group and all four teams have the equal chance to qualify for the next round. We should respect our opponents in the group. I hope our team can sharpen their form in the build-up, so that we can seal one of the group’s two qualifying spots.

Sebastiao Lazzaroni, Qatar coach
A difficult task awaits the Qatari team our qualifying group. We will be in a race against time to develop and put a Brazilian fingerprint on the team. Our group is very equal in terms of strength because all the teams know each other well. Iran have the experience in these games, while Bahrain are a good team and were very close to reaching the finals in the last two campaigns. We need to get more information on Indonesia but I hope we can start the group with some good results.

Danurwindo, former Indonesia coach
The draw is very much advantageous for us, as it is better to be drawn together with West Asian teams than East Asians such like Korea Republic, Japan and China, who are pacey and possess a physical edge against us. I think we have a chance to qualify from this group.

Javad Nekounam, Iran captain
Bahrain and Qatar are the biggest hurdles in our path. They’re two very similar sides, with good, on-form players. We’re aware that Bahrain will come to defend, are unlikely to attack, and will hope to go home with a point. But we need to win, and I think we’re capable of doing it if we play like we have in recent matches.
