Having dominated the regional stage for so long, Singapore will now be looking to make a significant mark in FIFA World Cup™ qualifying. Four years ago they swept past the likes of Palestine and Tajikistan to storm into the third round for the first time. Inspired by the breakthrough, Singapore are optimistic to make a similar impact this time around.
Inspired by the breakthrough, the south-east Asians entered the continental qualifying for Brazil 2014 determined to make more of an impact. However, their hopes of further achievement ended when they suffered four straight defeats to crash out.
