Qualification history
Mauritius made their FIFA World Cup™ qualifying debut back in 1974, but they have never progressed beyond the first preliminary round. Their only qualifying victory to date was a 3-1 win over Uganda in a pre-qualifying match for the 2006 FIFA World Cup Germany. Drawn against Liberia for a two-legged tie in the Brazil 2014 preliminaries, the islanders were forced to withdraw from qualifying prior to playing their matches.
