Paul Put has named his 24-man squad for Burkina Faso's upcoming FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Congo and Gabon, as well as Saturday's friendly with Benin.
“Reaching the world finals for the first time in Gabon’s history is a dream we can achieve if we really put our minds to it,” Gabon forward Pierre-Eymerick Aubameyang.
Group E is set to be wide open with all four contenders looking in with a shot of qualification, as Burkina Faso, Gabon, Niger and first round favourites Congo all have reasons to talk up their own chances.
Continental giants Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire were handed tough-looking tasks on the path to Brazil 2014, while the 2010 FIFA World Cup hosts South Africa have a regional derby on their hands against Botswana.
