For the first time I have joined volunteers team at the International forum “Russia – the country of sport” in 2011 in Saransk. My role was very interesting – I was making the presentation about the evolution of Football world cup ball.

The most memorable event in my volunteer career was the Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan. There my role was in line with my future profession as a doctor. I was working at the athletics stadium taking care of the athletes’ well-being after they finished their events. It was a chance to practice my professional skills and knowledge. However, at the same time it was an exciting opportunity to meet famous Russian athletes. For example, I was honored to meet Russian race walker Anisya Kirdyapkina after she crossed the finish line – vice world champion of 2013, bronze medalist of the 2011 World Cup, the vice-champion of Europe in 2010.

During the Sochi 2014 Olympic torch relay I was in a volunteer management team and after the event I was awarded with a memorable medal from the Russian President. I am also proud of my football volunteering experience – FIFA Fanfest in 2014 in Saransk. The area of the event was huge – more than 10,000 square meters and volunteers’ assistance was very important. I was working mostly with medical issues.

My volunteer experience in Kazan and during Fanfest inspired me to become a sport doctor. That is why now I am an assistant to the doctor for Moldavia football club's youth team. I do hope I will have a chance to join volunteers’ team of the World Cup in Russia.
