What methods of payment are accepted?
During Sales Phases 1, 2, 3 and 4 the following methods of payment are accepted:
If you wish to pay by payment card, please apply online via www.FIFA.com by clicking on the link below:
Other forms of payment are possible by using the pre-printed paper ticket application form process. Complete an application form and apply for tickets in person at First National Bank (FNB) branches within South Africa using:
o Cash or bank guaranteed cheque
o If you are an existing FNB account holder, you may simply transfer funds from your existing bank account
o Use your Visa payment card to obtain cash (the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ prefers Visa)
If you wish to pay by cash, bank guaranteed cheque or transfer please go to a FNB branch and follow the instructions reflected in the Official Ticket Application Form.
In order to reduce administrative costs and help the environment, we encourage applicants to submit their Ticket Application Forms online rather than to submit printed Ticket Application Forms.
What currency will be used?
All Tickets available for purchase by residents of South Africa are payable in South African Rand (ZAR).
When will I be charged?
If you have applied online and your Ticket Application is successful, your payment card will be charged immediately. Under certain circumstances, successful ticket applicants may be asked to return to www.FIFA.com to confirm their payment details. Payment must be received by the FWCTC within the specified deadline communicated within the notification to you that Tickets have been allocated and the respective amount that must be paid. If the FWCTC has not received full payment within this period of time your Ticket Application will be automatically cancelled and you will not be entitled to the previously allocated Tickets.
If you applied via the Official Ticket Application Form obtained from a FNB branch, and elect to pay by cash, bank guaranteed cheque or transfer; you will be required to pay the required amount immediately upon presenting your application to the FNB teller for processing. The FNB teller will load your payment onto a FNB Visa Official Mascot Prepaid Card, which you (the Applicant) will need to retain to pick the tickets up for yourself and your guests. No bank charges are applied to this transaction. Your application will be processed commencing on the day that funds reach the account represented by the FNB Visa Official Mascot Prepaid Card.
The FNB Visa Official Mascot Prepaid Card solution has been introduced to simplify the application process and ensure that successful Ticket Applications can be confirmed immediately to customers.
I have attempted to pay online, however my payment has been unsuccessful. What should I do?
Within the specified payment deadline you are provided with three (3) attempts to make payment, after 3 failed attempts to pay for your order, the Ticket request will be cancelled. Prior to attempting to make payment for the third time we recommend that you contact your issuing card company/ authorizing bank (who has provided the card) to ensure your payment card is activated to make online transactions (enabled to make purchases via the internet). If your card is not enabled to transact online please request that the issuing company makes your card eligible for online payment. If you had attempted to pay 3 times and your issuing card company has now activated your card for online transactions please contact the FWCTC and we will attempt to reactivate your account to enable you the opportunity to pay for your Tickets. Please send an email communication to enquiries@2010fwctc.com. Alternatively, if your third attempt to pay online fails you are provided with the opportunity to pay by bank transfer, please follow the online instructions when prompted.
