FIFA statement on FAI request
Friday 20 November 2009FIFA has today replied to the request made by the Football Association of Ireland to replay their FIFA World Cup play-off match against France in Paris.

Thursday 19 November 2009The first hosts and winners of the FIFA World Cup™, Uruguay, this morning became the last of the 32 countries to qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup™ – completing one of the strongest line-ups in the tournament’s history.

Thursday 19 November 2009The 2010 FIFA World Cup Organising Committee South Africa (OC) would like to congratulate the six teams that qualified last night, filling the last of the 32 positions for the tournament.

Second 2010 ticket sales phase extended until 20 November 2009
Tuesday 17 November 2009To meet the demand by the football fans especially in the qualified countries it was decided to extend the second sales phase until 20 November 2009.

Sunday 15 November 2009In a do or die weekend of football, Nigeria, Cameroon and New Zealand all secured their spot for Africa’s maiden FIFA World Cup™.
