With the beginning of the FIFA World Cup™ less than two weeks away, the FIFA Fan Fest™ is starting to come to life, with work underway to set the stage for a series of public viewing events which will provide Brazilian and international fans the opportunity to watch FIFA World Cup matches in a unique World Cup atmosphere.
All twelve Host Cities received shipments of the infrastructure provided by FIFA including unique stages, top quality screens, sound and lighting with these key components now being assembled ahead of the FIFA Fan Fest opening on 12th June.
In addition to showing FIFA World Cup matches on the giant screens, the FIFA Fan Fest will offer visitors a selection of entertainment, ranging from activities and promotions by FIFA’s Commercial Affiliates to live music acts arranged by TV Globo.
“After years of preparation together with the Host Cities it’s great to see the physical signs of the FIFA Fan Fest coming to life,” said FIFA’s Marketing Director Thierry Weil. “I’m looking forward to seeing fans of all nationalities watching matches and celebrating together in the FIFA Fan Fest”.
