Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier against Russia has fallen foul of the weather for the second time in 24 hours, with hostile conditions rendering Windsor Park unplayable.

Efforts were made to clear the pitch this morning, but after the new inspections conducted by FIFA Referee Tom Hagen, he decided that the pitch was unplayable due to the icy areas covering the pitch.

A revised kick-off time of 15.00 local time (16.00 CET) today was set but with no let-up from the elements the referee decided to cancel the fixture, which will now need to be fitted in elsewhere in the international calendar.

Officials, including representatives from both associations, met again at 10.00 local time (11.00 CET) and the decision was made an hour later.
