River Plate midfielder Leonardo Ponzio is the only surprise name among the seven home-based players named by Argentina coach Alejandro Sabella for the FIFA World Cup™ qualifiers against Venezuela and Bolivia.

Sabella announced 21 foreign-based players ten days ago, including Lionel Messi, Sergio Aguero, Angel Di Maria and Gonzalo Higuain.

Sabella has completed his squad list with those playing in the domestic league, with Ponzio getting the call ahead of Estudiantes' Rodrigo Brana.

Goalkeeper Agustin Orion, defenders Clemente Rodriguez, Sebastian Dominguez and Gino Peruzzi, and midfielders Fernando Gago and Maxi Rodriguez are the others.
