South Africa have been dealt a double injury blow ahead of a must-win 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ qualifier against the Central African Republic this weekend.

Centre-half Siyabonga Sangweni and left-back Tsepo Masilela, who would have been probable starters for the Group A fixture at Cape Town Stadium Saturday, have been ruled out by knee injuries.

Eric Mathoho of Kaizer Chiefs replaces Sangweni of Orlando Pirates and Tebogo Langerman of Mamelodi Sundowns comes in for Masilela as South Africa seek a first win after draws last year against Ethiopia and Botswana.

Hot favourites to win the mini-league and reach the final qualifying phase, Bafana Bafana  are only third on the table, two points behind Ethiopia and one adrift of the Central African Republic.
