Burkina Faso's new Belgian coach Paul Put has named a 24-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup™ second-round qualifiers against Congo on 2 June and Gabon on 9 June.

The squad includes 16 players who ply their trade in Europe, notably midfielder Charles Kabore of Marseille, centre-back Bakary Kone of Lyon and winger Jonathan Pitroipa of Rennes.

Burkina Faso were drawn in Group E in the African qualifying zone, alongside Gabon, Niger and Congo. Before their qualifiers, they will also play a friendly against Benin this Saturday in Ouagadougou.
