After recently being appointed President of the Brazilian Football Association (CBF) and Chairman of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ Organising Committee (LOC) (the latter position on 12 March 2012), Jose Maria Marin has received a greeting letter from the FIFA Secretary General, Jérôme Valcke.

On Wednesday last, 11 April, Marin went about responding to the Secretary General’s correspondence, restating his intention to dedicate himself fully to the organisation of Brazilian football and, above all, the FIFA World Cup.

“You can be assured that I will work tirelessly to guarantee that the 2014 FIFA World Cup is a great success in all aspects and, to this end, I am pleased to be able to count on your valued and indispensable collaboration,” wrote Marin, the head of the CBF and LOC.
