The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has sanctioned the Gabon FA for fielding an ineligible player in the preliminary competition match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™ between Niger and Gabon, which was played on 3 June 2012. The match has been forfeited and awarded 3-0 in favour of Niger.
The decision is final and binding.
The player concerned, Charly Moussono Moussono, had played for Cameroon at the final competition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup Rio de Janeiro 2006.
Given the fact that he had already played in at least one international 'A' match for another association, the player is not entitled to play for any other association.
With this decision, Gabon have dropped to third place in Group E of African qualifying.
