The FIFA World Cup™ qualifier between Poland and England, which was due to be played on Tuesday evening in Warsaw, has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

With torrential rain falling in the hours leading up to kick-off rendering the pitch unplayable, officials had no option but to eventually call the game off after a number of inspections.

The Group H match has been rescheduled for Wednesday 17 October at 17.00 local time.

According to Article 19, paragraph 7 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Regulations, the postponed match is to take place on the following day.

Also, both teams may alter their start list as the match had not commenced.
