Norway coach Egil Olsen
Things could have turned worse for us, even though getting Cyprus and Iceland out of pots five and six will make it a tricky group. Iceland is like the annoying little brother who loves getting one over on his older sibling. We’ve found them difficult to play against in our last few competitive meetings. That aside, it goes without saying that Norway must finish in first or second place in this group.
Slovenia coach Matjaz Kek
I don’t see an overwhelming favourite in the section. We can beat any team on our day; we’ve proved that in the past.
Switzerland coach Ottmar Hitzfeld
The draw could have been worse. We managed to avoid Russia and France from pot 2, as well as Germany, Italy, England and the Netherlands, so it’s not an impossible task. Norway and Slovenia are higher up than us in the world ranking due to some good results, but Switzerland have nothing to fear from them. Our goal is nothing less than qualification.
Albania coach Josip Kuze
When I saw that we’d been placed in the same group as Iceland and Cyprus, I was already thinking things were going to be tough, because they’re both very good teams. As for Switzerland and Norway, they play good football, and their results show just how much they’ve improved. Slovenia should be about the same level. Anyway, with a bit of heart and a professional approach, we’re going to do our best to pick up as many points as we can.
