Du Wei, China defender
The opening match against Singapore will be crucial for us, as they have made fast progress over recent years. We must respect our opponents and prepare ourselves well. Our target is to qualify for Brazil 2014 but we must first go through the third round to reach last ten. No matter which team we face, we must do our utmost to win.

Najeh Hamoud, Iraq FA president

The draw was fair for us, although the group is not easy. We are capable of advancing to the final round and we will try our best to provide the national team with all the necessary facilities and aids to help them prepare. China, Jordan and Singapore are good teams and they have improved a lot. All these teams are strong but we will try our best to make it through.

Adnan Hamad, Jordan coach
It is a good draw for us and I think we can make history by reaching the qualifying final round for the first time. However, we can’t take things lightly as no game will be easy. China are capable of pacey attacking play, while Iraq have a host of talented players. Even Singapore can’t be underestimated because the results against them might determine whether we progress.

Radojko Avramovic, Singapore coach
I am pleased that we have made it into the third round of the FIFA World Cup qualifying campaign for only the second time in Singapore's history. We will now look at the best possible options in preparation for the matches, starting with the first game in September second against China. We will focus on ensuring that my players get the right preparation needed for the matches, and we are working towards having a good qualifying campaign.
