Pierre-Eymerick Aubameyang, Gabon forward
We’re going to focus on the African Cup of Nations first of all, which is taking place in our country and is our top priority. That doesn’t mean to say we’re forgetting about the World Cup qualifiers though. Reaching the world finals for the first time in Gabon’s history is a dream we can achieve if we really put our minds to it.

Jean-Guy Wallemme, Congo coach
We’ve got work to do. Congo haven’t qualified for the African Cup of Nations since 2000 and have never reached the World Cup finals. Our objective right now is to reach the 2013 African Cup of Nations, and then we’ll focus on Gabon, Niger and Burkina Faso. It won’t be easy, but I’ll be going to the continental finals next year in Gabon and Equatorial Guinea to have a look at our future opponents. We need to play to our strengths and we want the people of Congo to support us in this challenge. I’m confident things will go our way and I’m counting on everyone.

Alain Traore, Burkina Faso midfielder
We’ve spoken about it (qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil™) and it’s one of our objectives, but right now we’ve got our sights firmly set on the African Cup of Nations. Once that’s over, then we’ll start thinking about it.
