With world football’s greatest competition just ten days away, FIFA.com is gearing up for the event with a whole new look. Get set for a new design, new sections and a host of other novelties, all coming your way in the run-up to the big kick-off on 11 June.

First on the list are the visual upgrades, such as high-resolution photos, a clearer menu and an almost exclusive focus on the events of the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™.

New features include the extremely popular Castrol FIFA World Cup Predictor Challenge and FIFA World Cup Fantasy game. Yet more games and competitions are on their way too, including the opportunity to send in your own fan photos, take part in a quiz to win the balls used when matches kick off, and even the chance to personally present the Budweiser Man of the Match Trophy after Argentina take on Korea Republic.

Live updates
Throughout the competition, FIFA.com will keep users informed on the progress of each of these games thanks to live updates. The FIFA.com Club has also undergone a refit too, and our men and women on the ground will be supplying users with real-time snippets on the goings-on in the towns, stadiums and training venues involved in South Africa 2010. A written preview piece will feature facts and figures relevant to that day’s matches.

What is more, as of 4 June, users will be able to check out the stat-packed profiles of all 736 players who have travelled to South Africa in the new 'Players' section. Here, you will be able to search for players using a variety of methods: by name, country etc.

Our 'Experts' section will provide daily analysis from coaches from across the globe and members of the FIFA Technical Study Group, while users will also have the opportunity to make their opinions known on the site by commenting on articles or taking part in the Fan Chat on the EMIRATES MatchCast.

Vote for your favourites
Other notable improvements include a Fantasy Football widget which shows you how your chosen players are getting on, plus head-to-head stats and a FIFA.com-exclusive first: your chance to vote for the Budweiser Man of the Match.

FIFA.com’s range of video footage also continues to expand in impressive fashion. As well as our customary highlights package available shortly after the final whistle of each match, you can access a Magazine which is updated daily, player interviews and new sections featuring all the goals, best celebrations and finest passages of play.

That is not all, with a good number of other new features set to appear on the site over the coming days. So, if you want the fullest and most enjoyable FIFA World Cup experience, stick with us right here at FIFA.com.
