Algeria goalkeeper Faouzi Chaouchi is a doubt for Friday's FIFA World Cup™ Group C match with England after sitting out training on Wednesday. The 25-year-old, whose mistake saw Slovenia claim a 1-0 win in their opening match on Sunday, sprained his left knee in Tuesday's training session, said coach Rabah Saadane.

"The doctors told me that he is not a definite starter for the match," said Saadane, who is at his second FIFA World Cup finals having coached the Algerians at the 1986 edition.

Should Chaouchi not make the match, he will be replaced by Rais M Bolhi, who plays his club football for Bulgarian outfit Slavia Sofia.
