The FIFA Disciplinary Committee met this morning and confirmed the following:

Tim Cahill is regarded as having breached art. 48 par. 1 b) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC) by committing a serious foul play in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa match between Germany and Australia of 13 June 2010. Tim Cahill is therefore suspended for one (1) match. The suspension shall be served in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa match between Ghana and Australia of 19 June 2010.

Itumeleng Khune, South Africa, is also regarded as having breached art. 48 par. 1 a) of the FIFA Disciplinary Code (FDC) for denying the opposing team a clear goal-scoring opportunity in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa match between RSA and URU of 16 June 2010.

The player is also suspended for one (1) match. The suspension shall be served in the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa match between FRA and RSA of 22 June 2010.
